What are the motorcoach requirements at Hearthside Grove?
Hearthside Grove is a Class A motorcoach resort. Our Owner's Association defines Class A in the traditional sense meaning motor homes and converted buses that have a flat front (not a truck, van or semi front end). We understand the appeal of other types of coaches and trailers, but we don’t have a provision to host those units as either a guest or owner. Additionally, Class A motorcoaches must be a minimum of 30 feet in length and be no older than 10 years of age.  Please email us at [email protected] or call 231-622-6275 if you have any questions.

How do I book a luxury lot at Hearthside Grove?
You can either make a booking directly on this website by using the "check availability box" or call our office at 231-622-6275 and one of our guest services professionals will be glad to help you.

What type of hook-ups are on the rental lots?
Every rental lot at Hearthside Grove is at least 5000 SqFt with beautiful landscaping, a 20 X 70 paved pad, and full hookups with 50 amp service, and WiFi.  Standard Plus, Deluxe, and Premium lots may include one or more additional amenities like a water view, enhanced furniture, firepit, fireplace, pergola, outside kitchen, or a water feature.

Can I rent a golf cart from Hearthside Grove?
Between early May and early October, we have a limited number of golf carts available for rent. We recommend reserving the carts as early as possible, preferably immediately after you make your lot reservation. You can either book a golf cart by clicking the "Golf Cart Rentals" menu item at the top of our ReserveHG.com website or by calling our office at 231-622-76275 and one of our guest services professionals will be glad to help you.

Is booking online secure?
We use a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order. We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our payment gateway providers database. It will only be accessible by those authorized with special rights to such systems. They are required to keep the information confidential. After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

Can I bring my pet with me?
A maximum of two well-mannered and quiet pets are allowed on each lot, however, except for service animals, clubhouses or pool area. Pet owners must keep their pets on a leash that is no more than 6 feet in length (except in the dog run located near the front gate) and promptly pick up after their pet.  Please contact guest services at 231-622-6275 with any questions.

Is the bungalow included in my lot rental?
Bungalows are NOT included in the rental.

Is my lot selection guaranteed?
Normally, the answer is yes, however, we are a lot ownership resort which means that, in the unlikely event the owner of the rental lot you selected sells or removes the property from the rental pool, you will be notified as soon as possible to discuss a suitable replacement lot.

How much of a deposit is required and when is the balance due?
All reservations made 10 days or more prior to arrival require a 50% deposit to hold chosen dates with the balance due 10 days prior to arrival. Reservations made within 10 days of arrival will be charged in full for the entire reservation.

What is Hearthside Grove's cancellation policy?
We request that you notify us as soon as possible if you need to cancel a reservation.  Cancellations made 10 days or more prior to arrival will result in a $50 processing fee.  Cancellations made less than 10 days before arrival will result in loss of 50% of the entire reservation cost.

Does Hearthside Grove allow outdoor fires and can we add decorations like flags and banners to our lot?
Fires are a big part of the RV lifestyle, and important to us at Hearthside Grove as they are a wonderful way to spend a crisp evening outdoors! To ensure that all our guests and owners enjoy their evenings without smoke from wood fires, we limit all fires to gas only. If you are not staying on a lot with a gas fireplace, we encourage you to enjoy the oversized fireplace in the Main Clubhouse, or even better, make friends with one of our lot owners, many of whom have spectacular fireplaces and fire pits.  Guests are encouraged to enjoy the natural beauty and landscaping of the resort rather than decorate their sites with temporary or permanent ornamentation. Please refrain from using outdoor tents, hammocks hung from trees, lawn decorations, flags, banners, screen rooms or other temporary enclosures.

When can we check-in to the resort and what time do we need to check-out?
We ask our guests to check-in after 1 p.m. and check-out by 11 a.m. on your day of departure. Please notify us as early as possible if you would like to inquire about the possibility of early check-in or late check-out.

Is it permissible to wash my motorcoach while visiting Hearthside Grove?
Absolutely, we encourage guests to keep their rigs looking spiffy. Please feel free to wash your motorcoach and tow vehicles on-site yourself or hire one of our local professional detailing companies to do the work for you. Please contact our helpful office staff at the Welcome Center to get phone numbers for local contractors.

What are the pool and spa use hours?
The pool is open from dawn until dusk. During poolside social events we would ask that you refrain from swimming. The Hearthside Grove pool and spa may need to be closed occasionally for maintenance and special events. We do not have a lifeguard on duty so guests may use the pool and spa at their own risk. For safety reasons, we do not allow glass containers or pets inside the fenced area surrounding the pool. We ask that all children under the age of 16 be accompanied by parents and/or grandparents in the clubhouses and pool area.

Is it permissible to use my gas golf cart, scooter, ATV or Razor as transportation while visiting Hearthside Grove?
At Hearthside Grove we love all of the toys that come with enjoying the great outdoors. However, due to noise and pollution restrictions, we do not allow gas powered golf carts, scooters, ATVs, Razors, etc.  All vehicles with the exception of cars and motorcycles must be electrically powered.

What type of transportation is available to and from Hearthside Grove?
Since the Petoskey area is fairly rural, Ubers and Lyfts can be sparce or nonexistent. We recommend towing a car to have during your stay or renting a car while in Northern Michigan. A list of car rentals and other transportation services can be found via PetoskeyArea.com.

Is it permissible to store my trailer on my rental lot?
Trailers are not allowed to be stored on the rental lots.  However, the Hearthside Grove staff will be happy to assist with moving your trailer to and from an authorized storage area for the duration of your stay.

What are the welcome center hours?
The Welcome Center is located inside the Main Clubhouse and is the place where you register upon arrival, meet with our sales team, plan your stay, schedule a tour of the resort, and receive mail and package deliveries. The Welcome Center hours are Mon.-Sat. 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM and Sunday 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM (hours may vary throughout the year so please contact the Welcome Center to confirm). Off-season hours may vary.

Lot Ownership at Hearthside Grove

What are the benefits of Hearthside Grove ownership?
Hearthside Grove is open year around for summer sports and festivals, fall colors, winter snow sports and spring blossoms.  Our owners enjoy the ability to come and go as they please and always know the specific lot amenities that will await them upon arrival.  Our owners develop many lasting friendships and can't wait to return to see their friends and families.  While not required, owners may place their properties into a rental pool to help offset annual costs with rental income.

Will the resort help buyers of lots with layout and design?
Hearthside Grove will utilize talented designers to put into place the best ideas of each new lot owner as they design the interiors. Customization will be fun with such a flexible platform to work with. Building out the bungalow and lot all at once will be a good opportunity for a perfect indoor/outdoor balance.

Do buyers have to decide everything about lot design prior to the start of construction?
The general layout of the lot including brick paver pad color, the bungalow location and exterior finish will need to be determined so the shell can be built. Beyond this the unit can remain unfinished on the interior until final plans for layout can be accomplished. Basic landscaping will be required at the time the bungalow is constructed.

Will the new lots be open in the shoulder and off season to enjoy?
All of the lots at Hearthside have been and will continue to be open all year for enjoyment. Both with and without coaches, there are owners who enjoy their lots every month of the year. Bungalows offer additional conditioned space that often leads to additional visits by lot owners.

How will the addition of new Phases affect the existing lot values?
Just as a rising tide lifts all boats, the new activity at the premium end of the product offerings should bolster existing lot values, increase sales and raise awareness of Hearthside as the most dynamic and beautiful place to spend the spring, summer and fall. The same goes for most neighborhoods and coaches for that matter. Having a nice variety of amenities, sizes and price points creates a robust market that is fun to shop in.
